Ipearl Covers for Acer Chromebooks

These Chromebook cases/covers do well on Amazon. People tend to like them. They are made from "high-quality translucent DOW polycarbonate material, which is shatter-proof." Not break-proof, but it's nice they won't shatter when used to protect your Chromebook.

A reviewer on Amazon pointed out that the Ipearl

provides a significant measure of protection from bumps to the device's plastic surfaces.

Another purchaser said,

It has a clip to the left and a clip to the right holding the case to the screen. The middle however seems like it could use a clip to make it more secure.

Honestly, they clip on and clip off, so it's kind of an issue if your kids, like mine, will take them off.

I prefer the appearance of the Acer C720 with the case because the case makes it look cooler.

That's the bottom line with many of the plastic cases out there. They protect to some degree, taking the brunt of many surface bruises, and they look cool.

The Ipearl described here will add about 7 oz to the weight of your Chromebook. To put that in perspective, these Chromebooks weigh roughly 3 lbs, so another 7 oz makes them a little under 3.5 lbs, or still pretty light.

Some people have said they add a soft case or sleeve around the Ipearl, and it still fits. This might help protect the colorful plastic from scratches in your backpack.

While there are some reviews that mention a poor fit, the existence of so many positive reviews on Amazon leads me to believe some people purchased the wrong cover.
